About the course

Our comprehensive 9-month hybrid yoga teacher training seamlessly blends self-paced online learning with invaluable in-person connection. It follows the same syllabus as all our 200 hour YTT’s, with thoughtfully organized modules that let you delve into the complete spectrum of yoga practices—from mudras and mantras to asana, meditation, and pranayama—while deepening your understanding of yoga history and philosophy. As you explore a range of styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Restorative, and Yin, you'll naturally cultivate your authentic teaching voice. The entire curriculum is grounded in principles of inclusivity and trauma sensitivity, empowering you to skillfully adapt your teaching to meet your student needs. This holistic approach extends beyond physical postures, inviting you to embrace yoga's internal dimensions and integrate these transformative practices into your daily life.

This course is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour yoga teacher training

How the course is delivered

This is a unique approach to online and self paced learning, born out of an understanding that some people need flexibility whilst still also needing some ‘classroom’ time and deadlines to keep them accountable. The course does just this, beginning with a weekend intensive where we lay the foundations, learning about teaching asanas and gaining some confidence with this.

Modules are then be released monthly, with a group check in where you can ask questions. Teaching practice within the group will also be facilitated and encouraged so that you’re building your confidence and skills. Throughout the self paced part of the course you will have assignments to complete, including teaching which you will receive 1:1 feedback on, allowing you to develop and progress.

The course concludes with a live training weekend, where we bring everything together, refining your teaching skills and understanding of yoga.

Areas of study

  • Asana and their benefits physically and emotionally, sanskrit names and meanings. Alignment, teaching technique and verbal cues. Adjustments, modifications and contra-indications including adapting practice for specific conditions.

  • Styles of yoga: the course focuses on traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow, whilst introducing you to Ashtanga, Yin and Restorative yoga, and encouraging you to find your own teaching voice

  • Planning lessons: sequencing and flow of a class, teaching different levels and helping students to progress.

  • Teaching methodology: using clear language and visual demonstration, knowing when to use hands-on assists. Teaching groups and 1:1, understanding the requirements for each.

  • Adapting and modifying your teaching: understand the most common conditions people present with in class, how we can keep them safe and when to refer them, including pre & post natal students.

  • Anatomy and Physiology: gaining an understanding of the major muscles, joints and bones and the systems of the body. Learning how to read the body, common injuries and how to avoid/protect.

  • The subtle body: including nadis, koshas, chakras, bandhas and mudra. Understanding Ayurveda and yogic lifestyle

  • Pranayama: the importance of the breath within our yoga practice, including specific Pranayama techniques.

  • Focusing the mind: meditation, mantra and chanting.

  • Yoga philosophy and history: learning about the roots of yoga, key yogic texts including the Bhagavad Ghita, Upanishads, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Bringing this into your teaching and daily life with authenticity.

  • Ethics, inclusivity and authenticity: acknowledging the social and ethical concerns around teaching yoga and how we can maintain a safe and inclusive space for all students. Awareness of teaching with sensitivity to trauma.

  • Finding your teaching voice: teaching practice, feedback and self reflection, finding your niche and passion for teaching.

  • The reality of teaching: setting up classes, health, safety and insurance. Teaching in person and online, teaching 1:1 and running workshops. Marketing and business skills - striking a balance between selling and maintaining integrity.

Below are some questions people often ask about the course. If you don’t find what you’re after please get in touch!

  • Live training is in July and February

    The rest of the course is in your own time, with modules released the first Monday of the month, followed by a live Q&A session

  • £1950 - This can be paid in monthly installments.

  • Payment plans are available at no extra cost. Generally, a 20% deposit is paid upon booking, with the remainder split into monthly payments throughout the course. However individual payment plans can be discussed and arranged to suit you.

  • The course is accredited with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour yoga teacher training (RYT200)

  • Item description ask that students have at least 2 years of consistent yoga practice in order to have fully experienced what they are hoping to share with others.

    Whilst it’s not a pre-requisit, you can also take my short online pre-training course ‘Delve Deeper into Yoga’ which helps to build confidence and prepare you for the yoga teacher training. You can find more information here ->
